“One doesn’t expect out of life what one has already learned that it cannot give, but rather one begins to see more and more clearly that life is only a kind of sowing time, and the harvest is not here.”

Vincent Van Gogh

About the Author

Debojit Sikdar (Penname: Dainin) is a 21-year-old artist from Chhattisgarh, India. His interest expands into art, philosophy, psychology, spirituality and mathematics. He shares his writings on Instagram (@dainin._) and is the author of three poetry collections. With his poetics and insights, he aims at combining his understanding of the world, his overwhelming curiosity and his untimely passion into his words, and hopes at nothing but contributing to the humanity of his readers.

Poetry is by essence that also defines knowledge. Knowledge is the essence that is described by numbers. Numbers are music that form the essence of existence. Music is the sole connection between our innermost experiences and the seemingly uncertain outer world. Our existence is a song.

About this initiative

Driven by the belief that knowledge is something beyond words and beyond the bounds of thought, so its value can never be matched in money, and that knowledge should be available to any earnest, curious individual, irrespective of their social, economic, political or any other status and whatever identity they associate themselves with, I have decided to make my books available for free reading to whoever finds interest in them. Poetry and mathematics, I believe, are the pure sources of knowledge that connect us to our deepest core, our humanity. It is a mistake to think that knowledge and, therefore, poetry are found in words. They are found in silences, in meditations, in selfless, impartial observation of the essential phenomenon that is nature and everything natural.
